Role Overview Tomorrow University is seeking a dynamic and visionary Learner Community Manager to lead and maximize the potential and impact of our brilliant Community. Community is at the heart of the Tomorrow University vision making this role pivotal in shaping not only current strategies and initiatives but also the vision, success and future of ToU. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a sense of belonging and facilitating meaningful connections that drive value and growth for both learners and the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continually developing, iterating on and implementing a comprehensive Community strategy aligned with ToU's mission, values, and objectives - that aims in growth for both learners and the organisation.
  • Cultivating vibrant and inclusive community culture that fosters connection, support, and lifelong learning among learners and alumni.
    • Building strong relationships with our community of learners and alumni, serving them with care and attention.
    • Empowering the ToU alumni experience, impact and connection as well as continuous connection to ToU.
    • Act as a champion for learners' voices and feedback, advocating for their needs and preferences within the organisation.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of Community offerings and initiatives (organising learner meet-ups, Managing online forums, facilitating scholarships, driving Mentorship programme, facilitating Circles & Networking opportunities etc) and driving engagement & connection within them as well as monitoring their success.
  • Consistently designing, employing and using key metrics to evaluate and improve the Community offering both overall and in terms of specific initiatives.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams, including Marketing, Sales, Partnerships and Product to enhance the learner experience and drive community growth as well as partnerships with external organisations.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in community engagement and online learning.

    The role includes a requirement for travel to learner meetup locations (e.g. Berlin, Vienna, Amsterdam etc) 4 times per year as well as travel to our team meetups 2 times per year.

Job requirements

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in community creation, management, engagement, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of online community platforms, social media channels, and digital engagement & impact strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including learners, alumni, partners, and internal teams.
  • Expertise and interest in fostering a sense of belonging and facilitating meaningful interactions for our Community.
  • Strategic thinker with ability to set a vision and a track record of developing and executing successful community engagement initiatives.
  • Data-driven mindset, with the ability to analyse metrics and derive actionable insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Creative and entrepreunerial problem solver interested to join a startup and have their own impact.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • Project Management Skills with a demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and objectives are achieved.
  • Demonstrated ability to take radical responsibility and thrive in a dynamic startup environment, with a proactive curious mindset, resilience in the face of ambiguity, and courage to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth and innovation.
